Instachat only collects information that is necessary to provide its core functionality. Data is collected through Meta-approved APIs after you explicitly authorize access via Facebook Login.

When you connect your Facebook Page and Instagram Business account, we may collect:

  • Instagram Business account ID
  • Instagram username
  • Facebook Page ID
  • Page access tokens (used to access messaging features)

We do not collect or store Facebook or Instagram passwords.

1.2 Messaging and Comment Data

To enable messaging and comment reply features, Instachat may process:

  • Instagram Direct Messages sent to or from your business
  • Message metadata (timestamps, sender/recipient IDs)
  • Instagram post comments and comment metadata
  • Message delivery, read, and referral events received via webhooks

Message content is processed only to display conversations and send replies as instructed by the user.

1.3 Technical and Log Information

For reliability and support purposes, we may collect:

  • Webhook event payloads
  • Error logs and diagnostic information
  • Connection status and automation execution logs

This data is used strictly for monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving the service.

2. How We Use Information

Instachat uses collected data solely to provide and improve its services, including:

  • Displaying Instagram messages and comments inside the app
  • Allowing users to reply to messages and comments
  • Automating responses based on user-defined rules
  • Delivering real-time updates through Instagram webhooks
  • Providing customer support and resolving technical issues

Instachat does not sell, rent, or trade user data.

  • Disconnect their Instagram Business account at any time
  • Revoke app permissions via Facebook or Instagram settings
  • Request access to or deletion of their data

7. Data Deletion Instructions

Users may request deletion of their data by:

  • Disconnecting their account from Instachat, or
  • Contacting us via email with their Instagram Business username and request details

Upon verification, associated data will be deleted in accordance with applicable policies.

Data obtained from Meta platforms is used strictly in accordance with approved permissions and user authorization.
